Pending review and submission
Some users may have restricted permissions within ResourceSpace, which can affect how they create resources.
In a typical configuration, general users upload into a 'Pending submission' state. This allows them to check that they have included and verified all the necessary metadata. Once they're happy with everything they can then submit it to an administrator for review by moving it to the 'Pending review' state.
Administrators are made aware of resources that require review via User Actions and in certain setups, with in-system notifications*. This allows them to review resources before moving them into the Active state and making them available to all users.
In this setup, resources that you've uploaded can be accessed via the 'Contributions' header: just select the relevant workflow state to view them.

*From version 10, the default notifications that used to be sent when a resource was moved into a pending state were removed, with 'Actions' enabled by default.
