Troubleshooting generic issues

If you are experiencing problems using ResourceSpace such as files not uploading then a good place to start is the following:
  • Visit the Installation Check page at Admin menu -> System -> Installation check. Any FAIL error messages should be resolved, for example installing ImageMagick or ensuring write access to the filestore folder.
  • Check the server logs. On an Ubuntu system running Apache the web logs can usually be found at /var/log/apache2/error.log. This can be useful for resolving error code 500.
  • Ensure you are running the latest version of your ResourceSpace release by running the command 'svn update' in the web root.
