StencilVG

With the StencilVG plugin you can use SVG template files to generate new documents with the use of placeholder values.

Creating a template SVG file simply involves adding text placeholders to your SVG surrounded by square brackets - for example [COMPANY] for the company name and [ADDRESS] for an address. You can create SVG files with free software such as Inkscape

Here is an example of a business card SVG file that could be created for the StencilVG plugin:

Placeholders for the different text fields on the business card such as [EMAIL] and [PHONE] have been added.

Any SVG files uploaded to ResourceSpace will have a new tool available on the resource view page "Create variations (beta)". Clicking this will take you to the page to allow you to create variations of your template file:

By changing the text inputs below each placeholder name you can update the text dynamically on the document:

The resultant document can printed, downloaded as an SVG, PDF, EPS or PNG file or created as a new resource.
