The Image Text plugin allows the contents of a selected metadata field to be included as a caption when a resource is downloaded.

Configuration settings within the plugin allows you to choose which resource types and file extension types the caption should be applied to and which field the text should be extracted from, for example title. It also gives the option to enter a default caption to apply should the configured field be empty for the chosen resource.

The styling of the caption may be customised with a choice of fonts and the ability to place the caption relative to the resource. The height of the banner in which the caption is placed can also be configured with minimum and maximum parameters, or to simply be a proportion of the resource itself.

User group access settings allow you to determine which users should always download with the caption applied, which should never have it applied and those who should be granted the option to download with or without the caption text included.
