ResourceSpace is the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system of choice for arts and heritage institutions all over the world, in no small part thanks to the integrations we’ve developed with the critical systems these organisations rely on.
Today, we’re delighted to announce our newest integration that will support our arts and heritage customers and further streamline their processes and workflows: the ResourceSpace-MONA integration, developed in partnership with CultureTech, a leading software provider automating the management of intellectual property rights.

MONA is a cloud based Digital Rights Management (DRM) platform developed by CultureTech, which enables rights holders to manage data and IP licensing seamlessly. MONA streamlines and automates the licensing of copyright protected content.
DRM software helps you to control and manage access to copyrighted materials, while protecting the copyright holder’s rights and preventing the unauthorised distribution and modification of content. In the context of the arts and heritage sector, DRM can be used by institutions as well as individual artists to control what people can and cannot do with their works.
This integration streamlines licensing management workflows by establishing a connection between ResourceSpace and MONA, allowing you to import images and metadata from your DAM directly into the licensing platform. This also means that any changes made within your Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform automatically get reflected in the other system.
This eliminates the need for manual data entry within the DAM, reducing errors and saving DAM Managers a significant amount of time. By automating the licensing process, the integration also increases the opportunity to grow licensing revenue.
Connecting ResourceSpace with MONA is incredibly easy and can be completed in under 10 minutes. Once set up, simply add a tag of your choice to the digital assets you want to sync. The mapping of metadata fields between ResourceSpace and MONA is also simplified, while you can also easily search for and filter assets stored in the DAM from within the MONA platform.
“I'm pleased to add another partner to ResourceSpace's ever growing ecosystem and look forward to seeing this integration in action,” said James Rein, ResourceSpace's Chief Customer Officer.
“ResourceSpace is a prominent leader in the Digital Asset Management space and so many organisations rely on its open-source platform to streamline content management,” said Christopher Vicini, CultureTech’s Product Design & Development Lead.
“Now organisations managing Intellectual Property rights can eliminate the need for manual data entry, reducing errors and saving time, as well as increasing the opportunity to grow licensing revenue with our platform, MONA.”
