Since our partnership with Ecologi back in 2021, we’re excited to reach our latest milestone: we’ve now funded the planting of over 100,000 trees! In fact, there are 100,536 so far, planted across 22 different projects, including reforestation programmes in the UK, agroforestry in Kenya, and mangrove planting in Madagascar.
It’s important to us that delivering our Digital Asset Management service should not harm the planet. Through the Ecologi partnership, we’re able to plant trees on behalf of our customers and ensure our service has a positive impact on the environment.
As a B-Corp, there are other steps we take to keep our environmental impact minimal too: we’re a fully paperless company, operate electric-only cars, and avoid all business flights, holding meetings remotely where travel isn’t essential. Our data centres are also powered by green electricity, and we manage our AI features consciously: by running much of it on our own servers and confirming that third party suppliers use green-powered facilities too.
As we continue to grow, we want to keep working to increase the scale and transparency of these efforts, and keep sustainability embedded in our everyday decision-making. Reaching over 100,000 trees planted keeps us hopeful that digital services can be delivered in a way that actively contributes to environmental restoration.
