Because resources in ResourceSpace can hold rich metadata and multiple classifications, there’s no need for a traditional folder hierarchy. Resources can belong to multiple collections at once and can be located quickly through metadata search alone.
Collections can be created from upload batches, search results, or manually grouped resources that are useful together. Most collections begin as private, though Administrators can make them public or promote them as Featured Collections for wider visibility.
Resources always exist independently within ResourceSpace, regardless of the collections they appear in. Making a collection private does not hide its resources — access is controlled through user group permissions.
